Sergeant First Class Jason Michael Webb spent most of his daughter’s in deployment, and he even fought for our country when she was born.
Sergeant Webb is a combat medic, and a 15-year veteran whose daughter had grown up knowing her dad is “out there” serving his country.
But just a few weeks ago, Haley, who is a teenager and student at Bingham Middle School in Independence, Missouri, was finally able to see her dad after one year and a half, although she didn’t know it yet.
The reunion was planned to happen in front of her entire school during their Veteran’s Day Assembly, where Haley would be introducing a guest speaker.
After her band performance, Haley stands up and reads an introduction biography, and about halfway through, she starts to catch on that it’s about her father.
Once Sergeant Webb comes out, it’s waterworks all around (we even had to hold back tears).
Haley was so happy to finally see her hero dad, she couldn’t hold back the tears. “I’m just so happy Christmas came early,” she said.
